Nótt ok Blóð (Night and Blood) by FREYVRA is here. A cinematic Nordic album inspired by Old Norse, fate, night and blood with powerful female vocals

Two words that hold the entire North — the cold, the dark, the fate, and the strength that runs in our blood.

FREYVRA has just presented her new cinematic Nordic album Nótt ok Blóð, and it’s unlike anything in her FLAMA era.

FREYVRA herself describes it best:

“FREYVRA presents Nótt ok Blóð (Night and Blood), a cinematic Nordic album inspired by Old Norse language, ancient traditions, cold northern landscapes, strength, fate, night and blood.”

This album blends powerful female vocals, Viking-inspired atmosphere, emotional melodies and dark Nordic soundscapes.

If FLAMA was fire, Nótt ok Blóð is the night that comes after. It’s colder, darker, more emotional, and more cinematic. Inspired by legends, frozen landscapes, ancient traditions and the spirit of Valhalla, FREYVRA creates music that bridges the past and the future.

From emotional Nordic ballads to modern Viking hymns, each song carries the strength, mystique and soul of the North.

This is Old Norse-inspired Viking music — ritual folk, dark folk, Nordic folk, cinematic music, female vocals, and Norse mythology, all in one album.
